Beat Tag Dropper

Upload your beat and your producer voice tag — the tag drops automatically every N seconds with fades and beat ducking. Preview, then export the protected MP3 or WAV.

Tag your beat

Selling or sharing beats? A producer tag — your name or brand spoken over the track — is how you keep an unlicensed beat from being used without credit. Doing it by hand in a DAW is tedious: import the beat, copy-paste the tag dozens of times, ride the volume under each one. This tool does the whole job in your browser. Upload the beat and your tag recording, pick how often the tag drops and where the first one lands, tune the fade in and out plus how far the beat ducks under the tag, preview the protected beat, and export a finished MP3 or WAV. Both files are decoded, mixed and encoded on your device — nothing is uploaded. The timeline preview shows exactly where each tag will land before you render, so there are no surprises. Use it for beats you post on selling platforms, snippets you share on social media, or demos you send to artists — anywhere your credit needs to travel with the music.

How it works

1

Load beat + tag

Drop in your beat (MP3, WAV, OGG or M4A) and your producer tag — a short voice recording of your name, brand or catchphrase. Both are decoded right in your browser; nothing is uploaded anywhere. A clean, dry tag recording works best; keep it under ten seconds so it never overstays its welcome.

2

Set the drop pattern

Choose how often the tag drops (every 15 seconds is a solid default), where the first tag lands, how softly each tag fades in and out, and how far the beat ducks underneath it so the tag always cuts through clearly.

3

Preview and export

Preview the protected beat exactly as it will export, tweak anything that feels off, then export a finished MP3 or WAV. Share it freely — the tag travels with the beat, protecting your credit.

Tag placement: protection that buyers can still listen through

A producer tag has two jobs that pull against each other: it must make a ripped copy of the beat unusable, and it must not get in the way of an artist judging the beat. Three habits keep both true.

Never leave the start clean for long. If the only tag sits at the very beginning, anyone can crop the first seconds and walk away with an untagged intro. Spaced tags — every 15 to 30 seconds is the norm for beats shared publicly — mean there is no crop long enough to build a song from.

Use ducking instead of raw volume. Dropping the beat’s level under the tag (the ducking control) keeps the tag intelligible at a lower, less annoying volume. A tag that has to shout over a loud 808 section gets turned into a jump-scare; a ducked tag reads as polish.

Match the tag to the arrangement. Tags land best on transitions — the bar before a drop, the start of a new section — where a voice naturally belongs. If your beat has a long quiet intro, one extra tag in the first few seconds is worth more than two in a busy chorus. And once a beat is sold exclusively, send the untagged version: the tagged file is the shop window, not the product.

Producers live in folders of near-identical files. The same tidy-up instinct applies to photos: the duplicate photo finder clears out repeated shots in your browser, and if one of those shots is destined for an ID card, the passport photo guide covers the sizes and head rules that keep it compliant.

Frequently asked questions

What is a producer tag?
A short voice recording — your name, your brand, a catchphrase — that producers drop over beats they share or sell, so the beat cannot be used without credit. This tool schedules that tag automatically over the whole beat. Doing the same job by hand in a DAW means copy-pasting the tag dozens of times.
Are my beat and tag uploaded anywhere?
No. Both files are decoded, mixed and encoded entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves your device. The beat and tag are processed on your own machine from the moment you drop them in, so unreleased music is never sent to a server, stored, or shared — the whole job finishes locally in this tab.
How often should the tag play?
Every 15 to 30 seconds is typical for beats shared publicly — frequent enough to protect the beat, sparse enough that buyers can still judge it. For beats sent to paying artists, a single tag at the start is usually enough.
What does “ducking” do?
Ducking automatically lowers the beat’s volume while your tag plays, then brings it back up. It keeps the tag clearly audible without you having to ride the volume by hand. You set how far the beat dips — the tool's ducking control is a percentage — and preview the result before exporting.
Should I export MP3 or WAV?
MP3 (192 kbps) is the standard for sharing tagged beats online — small and universal. Export WAV only if you plan further editing or mastering. The exporter offers exactly those two formats: MP3 at 192 kbps for sharing, and uncompressed WAV when the file still has work ahead of it.
Will one tag at the very start protect my beat?
Not really. A ripper can simply crop the intro. Spaced tags every 15 to 30 seconds survive cropping, because no stretch of the beat long enough to use is ever tag-free. A single start tag is fine only for beats sent privately to paying artists.
How loud should my producer tag be?
Clearly audible but never startling. Turn on ducking so the beat dips under the tag instead of competing with it, then set the tag level so it reads as part of the production. If listeners flinch, it is too loud; if they have to rewind to check it was there, it is too quiet.
